Which apps does PodSwitch support?
PodSwitch lets you paste a podcast link from one app and switch it to open in another. Support varies by app and by whether you're sharing a podcast show (the whole series) or a specific episode.

Why can't I paste a link from Castbox or Podcast Addict?
PodSwitch needs to read the link you paste to figure out which podcast and episode you're sharing. Apple Podcasts, Spotify, YouTube, iHeartRadio, Overcast, and Pocket Casts use link formats we can read. Castbox uses a different format we can't yet interpret. For Podcast Addict, we're awaiting a public API from their open source community—once that's available, we'll add support for pasting links from Podcast Addict too.
The good news: you can still switch to these apps. If you paste a link from Apple Podcasts, Spotify, YouTube, iHeartRadio, Overcast, or Pocket Casts, PodSwitch can generate links that open in Castbox or Podcast Addict—so your friends who use those apps can still listen.
Why can I only switch to the show (not the episode) for some apps?
Overcast, Pocket Casts, Castbox, and Podcast Addict don't expose episode-level links the same way Apple, Spotify, YouTube, and iHeartRadio do. When you switch to these apps, PodSwitch opens the podcast show page. You may need to find the episode yourself once you're there.
Apple Podcasts, Spotify, YouTube, and iHeartRadio support both show- and episode-level links in both directions: paste from any of them, switch to any of them, and land on the exact episode.
What's the difference between show-level and episode-level support?
- Show-level: PodSwitch opens the podcast's main page in the destination app. You see the full list of episodes and pick the one you want.
- Episode-level: PodSwitch opens the exact episode you shared, so you can hit play immediately.
When both the source and destination app support episode-level links, switching is seamless. When the destination only supports show-level links, you'll land on the podcast page and may need to scroll or search for the episode.
